“His gift deserves a much better platform, and if you should stick him in that Liverpool midfield and allow him to support their magical front three, the child could be one of Europe’s most helpful midfielders and possess an England team built around him. Forget Manchester United, he will be waiting to get to the level he could get to at Anfield.”
Collymore is right in stating the fastest route to the top is by joining Liverpool rather than Manchester United in 2020. The gulf in class between the two sides was quite apparent in this weekend 2-0 win at Anfield.
The 48-year-old is the next ex-player to endorse Grealish moving to Anfield this month. Match of the Day pundit Danny Murphy considers the youngster would be a great fit at Liverpool and is far better than some players at Jurgen Klopp’s midfield.
