The world-famous striker, who’s best known for helping Liverpool win the Champions League and the FA Cup, will be teaming up with Betiton, a small sportsbook with big aspirations, to offer his services

Djibril Cissé has joined the team at Betiton, a promising, emergent sportsbook that has already seen massive growth.

You may remember Cissé from his time at Anfield Stadium, where he played striker for Liverpool between the years 2004 and 2007.

Cissé’s time with Liverpool saw him aid the Reds in winning the UEFA Champions League in 2005 and the FA Cup in 2006. Cissé, however, has had a number of various endeavours after his stint with Liverpool.

He’s played for various teams around Europe, including Olympique de Marseille and Lazio; has DJed at a number of high-profile events; has modelled for important fashion designers like Jean Paul Gaultier; and is also a successful fashion designer himself who owns a handful of clothing brands.

Cissé’s charisma, competitive spirit, and will to achieve anything he sets his mind to, will prove to be valuable assets in Betiton’s mission to grow further.

Despite hardly being older than a year, the sportsbook has already seen a significant amount of growth and success.

In fact, Betiton offers its services to 13 markets, each with localised content and customer support. This means that Betiton’s services are available in 8 different languages, including English, French, and German.

This is not to mention the impressive breadth of betting markets on offer at the sportsbook.

The team at Betiton is ecstatic about Cissé’s addition. In fact, Arnaud Serour, the CEO & co-founder of Betiton, spoke of Cissé in extremely positive terms:

“Djibril Cissé is not only a major football star who has had an incredible career playing for some of the biggest clubs in the world, he has also overcome major injury setbacks and for us is the embodiment of determination and character. We have been working with him daily for the last few weeks, he’s a joy to work with and develop ideas and is also a fantastic human being.”

When asked for his input on the matter, Djibril Cissé said: “We connected immediately with Arnaud and his team. I’ve been struck by Betiton’s motivation and vision to be a leading operator in the gaming industry. I am confident we will reach those goals and am really looking forward to it. Game on!”

The exhilaration and energy of the two working together will definitely translate to some exciting developments for the growing operator.

Djibril Cissé’s professional football started with AJ Auxerre, a French club that has become known for creating fully-fledged footballers from young talented players.

Whilst his time with Auxerre saw him develop into a remarkable player, he moved on to Liverpool to play in the Premier League. His time with the Reds, however, was sadly marked by significant injuries that saw him out of action.

However, never one to give up, Cissé kept bouncing back from these injuries, delivering stunning performances despite being hardly able to walk a few months prior.

His time with Liverpool was cut short, however, and he was transferred to Olympique de Marseille in 2007. He was loaned to Sunderland the following year and then transferred to Panathinaikos in 2009.

With the Greek team, Cissé found himself to be a crucial ingredient for their recipe for success. In fact, the French striker scored 47 goals in 61 appearances for the team, earning the ardent admiration of fans.

However, Cissé was dissatisfied with the way football was run in Greece and moved to Lazio. Yet, even there he found cause for dissatisfaction as he came to realise that the style of Italian football did not quite gel with his own personal style.

He was then signed on with the Queens Park Rangers in 2012 but this also proved to be short-lived as he left the club in 2013 by mutual consent.

Afterwards, he played for a number of other clubs. Nowadays, he plays for Panathinaikos Chicago in the National Premier Soccer League.
